Thomasville Real Estate

Thomasville, a city with a population of about 27,000, is just outside High Point. Thomasville was founded in 1852 and is home to North Carolina’s oldest railroad depot and hosts Everybody’s Day, the state’s oldest festival. Like nearby High Point, Thomasville was once a center for furniture and cabinetry manufacturing. Thomasville’s long association with the furniture industry is perhaps best illustrated by The Big Chair, the city’s most recognizable landmark.

Residents of Thomasville rave about the city’s quaint, walkable downtown and the opportunity to view the passing trains in a peaceful environment. The historic downtown features many beautiful murals on the brick exteriors of its buildings, a project commissioned by the city back in the 1990s.

City residents can take advantage of the city’s many parks, outdoor spaces as well as the Winding Creek Golf Course.

Nearby communities include Lexington and Archdale.
